My name is Patricia. I’m a native of Yucatan, Mexico. I grew up in the tropics, where it is steaming hot ☀️ and you rarely need a sweater. But in the late ’90s, I moved to the coast of northern California. Here, the weather is foggy and often quite cold. I’ve always been creative, so naturally, knitting was my salvation. The next obvious step was trying to spin my yarn, where I could combine colors and textures as needed. I found that wool helped me adjust and be comfortable in my new environment!
I love creating my blends from ethical sources and the softest of materials. So many stories inspire my work in my day-to-day, stories of plants, animals, people, and memories. And when I finish creating a new blend, I feel the rush of joy that comes with producing something beautiful and useful with my hands.
I also love kayaking, cooking, curling up, and reading good books on cold days. I love historical fiction books; if you know of one you would like to recommend, let me know!
