I'm so happy and proud to have these bags available in the shop. They are 100% artisanal made. One at a time. The textile process begins with dyeing the wool, using ancestral dyeing techniques with raw materials of natural origin such as cochineal, indigo, walnut shell, fruits, flowers, and plant barks. Sometimes, synthetic dyes are also used to achieve brilliant colors. These bags are made in a family-owned workshop located in Teotitlan del Valle, a Zapotec Village in Oaxaca. The people in this area have been weaving since 500 BCE. The designs are made by memory. Their weavings are accounts of their daily life, surroundings, and elements that are very important in their culture.
The bag has a black lining with an internal zippered pocket. Great for gift giving.

I do my best to get pictures from different angles to capture and show the beauty of the color combinations. Remember that your monitor may show colors differently than mine. I'm always open to questions.

The lighting for the photos makes the colors a little brighter than they do in person, so expect the colors one or two shades darker.
